As a CNUSD Band Director, I am committed to the success of all band students, from beginner to advanced.  To help you succeed in band, it's important to have a good quality instrument to play.  This page will help you make decisions on which instrument to rent or buy.  Let me know if you have any questions!

The quality of the student’s instrument is critical to the student’s progress. I have listed certain brands that will help ensure each child’s success in band.  I suggest renting before buying just in case your student decides to switch instruments.  Please be careful when shopping for an instrument on amazon or other online retailers that may sell cheap/off brand instruments.  Beware:  If the price is "too good to be true", it probably is because the instrument may not be of good quality and may make your child struggle to play or produce a good sound.
